She worked at Claremont General Hospital (now Valley Regional Hospital) as a pediatric nurse, supervisor of the pediatric unit, house supervisor and supervisor of central supply. Her career ended with retirement in 1976, and she was awarded the honor of Service to Humanity for her years of dedication in the medical field.
Most important was her family, which included her husband, three children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and even a family of golden retrievers. She enjoyed entertaining her relatives, neighbors and friends and always found time to make "door yard calls." Molly liked making washcloth pillows, Bibles made of soap and other kinds of crafts. She favored daily crossword puzzles, the show Jeopardy! and especially making popcorn balls at Christmas.
She was predeceased by her son, Dana D. Whitney; a sister, Nellie Conry; and a brother, Lewis Rodriguez.
Members of her surviving family include her husband of 62 years, Dana "Pete" Whitney, living at the New Hampshire Veterans Home; two daughters, Anne Williams with Bill Cockfield of Hooksett and Sue and Pete Dalpra of Penacook; and five grandchildren, Andrea Drolet, Megan Dervan, Cara Britton, Brandon Williams and Melissa Cockfield; two great-grandchildren, Edward and Colm Dervan; and several nieces and nephews.
