Dudley Hayes, Sr.
PENN YAN -- Dudley E. Hayes, Sr., 85, of 939 Hopeton Road, died Tuesday (March 17) at Willard Hospital.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Weldon Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial in City Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Yan Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Mr. Hayes was born in the town of Torrey, January 28, 1902, son of George Edward and Rose Ribble Hayes. He was the widower of Mary H. Hayes. He was a retired carpenter fo the Walkerbilt Company of Penn Yan. He was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his son, Dudley E. Jr. of Penn Yan, a daughter, Mrs Carlton (Rose) Donley of Keuka Park; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew.
