SERVICES SLATED FOR ANNA HEIKEN ON TUESDAY, MAY 4
Anna Elizabeth Heiken, 87, Anamosa, died suddenly Saturday afternoon, May 1, at Stockers nursing home. Cause of death was a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 4, at St. Paul Lutheran church, Anamosa. Rev. LaVerne C. Beener will conduct the services. Interment will be at the Wayne Zion Lutheran cemetery, Monticello. Pallbearers include Leslie Toenjes, Duane Herren, Carl
Folkers, Donald Hagen, Albert Johnson and John Siebels.
Life Outlived
She was born August 30, 1878, daughter of August and Margaret Zimmermann Toenjes Wayne township, Jones county. She was married to Warner Heiken on November 25, 1903. She
lived one year in Amber, moved to a farm in Cass township and in 1940, she moved to Anamosa.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church.

Survivors include two daughters, Wilma, Mrs. Lee Sanner, Anamosa; and Mildred, Mrs. Carl Schoon, Monticello; son, Rex Heiken, Anamosa; five, sisters, Gusta, Mrs. Harman Folkers,
Anamosa; Miss Julia Toenjes, Amber; Mrs. Elise Hcrren, Anamosa, Clara, Mrs. Ed Moister,
Denver, Colo.; and Laura, Mrs. George Siebels, Amber, eight grandchildren, and ten
great grandchildren. She was preceded, in death, by her husband, in 1944, infant, son, Lorenz, in 1907, five brothers and two sisters.
