Parents Solomon Oden and Mildred Ann Athey Oden. Solomon was from VA and Mildred from Loudon Co. VA. They came to TN in 1813. Parents to 8 children.
Hezekiah was a Conf. soldier in the 4th CAV also had a brother John serving in Holman's CAV who died of dysentery. Hezekiah went to get John and brought him home he was buried in Oden cemetery. near Thompson Station, TN. They had another brother Thomas H. he returned home safely. After Dr. and Mrs. Oden died her sister Miss Mary Susan Reams came to Williamson Co. TN to take care of their children. They were Julia, Lena, Bettie, Oscar, Susa and Veedie.
A cemetery was started in the garden at the home place Walnut Winds. After the Oden's were destroyed by the Yankee's the stones of the whole family are now in Mt. Hope.
