GENEVA — Eva D. Lacina, age 89, a resident of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at Geneva Village Retirement Community, Geneva.
Born July 8, 1920, in Harpersfield, Ohio, the daughter of Catherine (Bittner) and Frank Duplay.
Eva was a 1938 graduate of Geneva High School and worked at True Temper. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crocheting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son, James (Linda) Lacina of Geneva; grandson, Ryan Lacina of Los Angeles, Calif.; and sister, Dorothy Coy of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Jamie Lacina; four brothers; and five sisters.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22nd, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATORY, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, with the Rev. Melvin E. Rusnak, of Assumption Catholic Church, presiding. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Geneva, Ohio.
