Glen Hope - Mrs. Grace Josephine Rose, a lifelong Glen Hope resident, died at her home at 5 a.m. Wednesday. She was the widow of Thomas Rose and the last member of her family. She was born in Glen Hope July 2, 1899, a daughter of Frank and Ella Mullen Bell. She married Mr. Rose in 1921. Surviving her are two daughters, Mrs. William Dorothy Shoff, Glen Hope and Mrs. Norman Louise Stephan, Dayton, Ohio and three grandchildren. In addition to her husband, who died Jan. 21, 1956, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from Shoff Funeral Home in Madera with the Rev. William Chamberlin the Coalport United Methodist charge officiating. Interment will be in the Bell Cemetery at Glen Hope. Friends will be received at the Shoff Funeral Home in Madera from 7-9 p.m.today, tomorrow from 2-4 amd 7-9 p.m. and until time of services Saturday. (The Progress August 29, 1974)
