COOKEVILLE – Funeral services for A. Hollis Allen, 83, of 1656 Flintwood, Cookeville, will be held Tues., Sept. 4, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Hooper and Huddleston Funeral Home with the Rev. Byron Epps officiating. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Allen died Mon., Sept. 3, 1984, at Cookeville City General Hospital following an extended illness.
A native of Jackson County, he was the son of the late George W. and Etta Allen. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Cookeville Masonic Lodge. Mr. Allen had retired from Tennessee Tech where he was a security guard.
His family includes his wife, Mrs. Hallie Terry Allen; a son, George Allen of Nashville; a brother, Doyle Allen of Cookeville; and two grandchildren.
