| Birth: | 1850 | | Death: | Nov., 1888 |  Statesman politician and author. Older brother of English literature scholar, Kocho Baba. He founded the Liberal Democractic Party. Due to his radicalism, he was silenced and imprisoned in Japan. He moved to Phildelphia, Pennsylvania where he died in exile.
