Burial was in Transport Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
She died at her residence after a lengthy illness.
A member of a pioneer Winn Parish family, Mrs. Peters was a graduate of Louisiana Tech and LSU. Mrs. Peters taught home economics in area schools from 1916 until she retired in 1950.
Survivors include one son, Dr. J. Paul Peters of Winnfield; one brother, Morgan W. Walker of Alexandria; and two grandchildren.
