Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Verne Kirk, Forsyth, will be 11 a.m. Friday in the J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Kirk, 52, died in Decatur and Macon County Hospital at 3:45 yesterday after a two day illness.
A native of Dewitt County, Mrs. Kirk had lived in Forsyth since 1949, moving there from Gary, Ind.
She was born in Wilson township, Dewitt county, on Dec 25, 1908, the daughter of Jess Gardner Walden and Minnie Walden.
On March 28, 1931, she was married in Valparaiso, Ind., to Peter Kirk who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Eloise) Prescott, Clear Lake, Iowa; three brothers, Milton C. Walden, Forsyth; Theodore Walden, Champaign, and Clifford Walden, Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters; Mrs. Jess (Lela) Weltmer, Forsyth; Mrs. Eloise Sawyer, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Belle James, Gary, Ind. and three grandchildren.
