H. Louise Sparks
NAMPA — Services for Mrs. H. Louise Sparks, 84, of 411 Thirteenth Avenue North, who died Sunday morning in a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nampa First Ward, Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop R. Cecil Williams.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Shepherd Mortuary Chapel.
Mrs. Sparks was born Aug. 17, 1885, in Paris. She was reared in Bear Lake County and graduated from the Fielding Academy at Paris. She was married to T. Ernest Sparks on Dec. 10, 1909, at Dingle, Idaho. Their marriage later was solemnized at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They ranched at Dingle until 1919, when they moved to Nampa where they farmed for many years. She was a member the Nampa First Ward, LDS Church, Relief Society, and Daughter of the Utah Pioneers.
She is survived by her husband, T. Ernest Sparks; three daughters, Mrs. William Backe, Salem, Ore., Mrs. Lynn Sumpter, San Carlos, Calif., and Mrs. C.E. Callen, Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, Leo Sparks, Los Angeles, and Glenn Sparks, Beaumont, Calif.; two brothers, Alfred Humpherys, Ovid, Idaho, and David C. Humpherys, Dingle; eight sisters, Mrs. Alta Weaver, Bennington, Mrs. Nora Farnsworth, Mesa, Ariz., Mrs. Irene Kunz and Mrs. Vera Alleman, both of Bern, Mrs. Lavania Jensen, Montpelier, Mrs. May Lindsay, Dingle, Mrs. Ivy Robison, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Edna Middleton, Nampa; and seven grandchildren.
