Mrs. Davis, wife of Thomas Davis, died at her home near East Point on Thursday evening at 8 o'clock from Spanish influenza, after an illness of just one week. Mrs. Davis was only 22 years of age, and had been married but eleven months. She was a daughter of Mrs. Charles Sellers, and her mother made her home with her. She was a consistent member of the Christian church, and was generally popular with the people of her section.
Surviving is her husband, Thomas Davis, her mother, four sisters: Mrs. J.E. Burkett, Mrs. Virgil Thompson, and Misses Beatrice and Willie Sellers at home; five brothers, Roy, John, James, Robert and Jacob Sellers at home.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the interment will be in the East Point cemetery.
