Ardmore — Eugene (Gene) Cravatt was born July 8, 1928, at Stieham, Okla., to Albert and Clincy Cravatt. He departed this life on Nov. 2, 2010, at Mercy Memorial Hospital in Ardmore. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church on Friday, November 5, 2010, at 2 p.m. Dr. Alton Fannin will officiate. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Gene was married to the former Virginia West at Davis, Okla., on October 19, 1950. The family had been residents of Ardmore since 1987 moving here from Muskogee. Gene was a retired employee of OG&E. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church where he was a member of Jack Stone's Sunday School class.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia of the home; two daughters, Connie Smith, Seward, Alaska, and Kristy Bolene and her husband, Jim, Broken Arrow, Okla.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and five brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jack Stone, Don Thompson, Walter McAnally, Ed Dooley, Harold McMillan and Clayton Fields.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Jack Stone's Sunday School class.
