Dalhart, Texas, Friday, Dec. 30th, 1927
W. R. Bouldin, age 77, one of the "Pioneers of the Panhandle", passed away at his residence in Channing on Christmas Day after a brief illness.
Mr. Bouldin came from Virginia and settled near Old Tascosa about fifty years ago, and has lived in this part of the country since that time.
He is survived by four children, L. R. Bouldin and Mrs. Charles Dowlen of Channing, Mrs. Marvin Jackson of Amarillo and Wade Bouldin of Clay Center, Kansas, besides his widow.
The Dalhart and Channing Masonic lodges conducted the funeral service at the cemetery.
Editor's Note: William R. Bouldin, (a son of William H. Bouldin) married Nannie Elizabeth Richardson, dau. of Abner Richardson and Nancy Minter, all originally from Henry County, VA.

William and Nannie had a daughter named Mae Bouldin.
She was b.16 Dec 1886. She died 1 June 1972 in Channing, Texas.
