Born in Tazewell' County, she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Josie Marie Hagy Hunt.
She was a member of New Hope Assembly Church at Claypool HilL She was a Sunday . School secretary for the Adult Class at New Hope Assembly for 15 years and was a member of the Women's Ministry and choir.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family in her generation.
She will be sadly missed by her church; her family and her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dahman A. Ball; and two sisters, Mary Horne and Willie Whitt.
She iS'survived by four sons, Wayne Ball, Larry Ball and wife, Rita, Dahman (Ikey) Ball and wife, Tilda all of Raven and Dennis (Dink) Ball and wife, Pat of Cedar Bluff, Va.; three daughters, Kathy Davis and husband, James of Swords Creek, Va., Beth Taylor and husband, Eddie of Raven, and Shelia Mathena of Raven; 14 grandchildren, Jeffrey Ball, Jessica Ball, Angie Haines, Andrew Ball, Tabitha Ball, Jamie Davis, Billy Hale, Sheri Hale, Zachary Ball, Ben Taylor, Tarah Taylor, Adam Taylor, Austin Mathena and Emily Mathena; and one greatgrandson, Dahman Edward Haines.
FUneral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the New Hope Assembly Church at :Claypool Hill, Va. with the Revs. Claudie E. Throgmartin and Rick Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens, Claypool Hill.
