Paul E. Luce Jr., 63, formerly from Sherman, N.Y., passed away quietly on July 1, 2010, from lung cancer.

Paul was born Aug. 6, 1946, in Erie, Pa. He grew up in Sherman N.Y., where he excelled in high school athletics.

Paul graduated with the Sherman Central High School class of 1964, and then entered the U.S. Air Force.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul E. Luce Sr. and mother, Mary A. Luce, both lifetime residents of Sherman, N.Y.

Paul is survived by his siblings: Kathleen (Luce) Markham; Plano, Texas; Ronald Luce, Bemus Point, N.Y., Marilyn (Luce) Livoti, Highlands, Calif., and Phyllis (Luce) Giambrone; Austin, Texas; daughters: Emily (Luce) Holes, Erie, Pa., and Jennifer (Luce) Jamieson, Rochester, N.Y.; and his seven beloved grandchildren: Tori, Courtney, Jacob and Caleb Holes, Daniel and Anna Jamieson and Kaedence Andross. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins in the Chautauqua and Erie county areas.

A private memorial service will be held for the immediate family only in August 2010.
