Mrs. Daniel W. Amos
SAXTON, February 7 -- It becomes our sad duty to chronicle the death of one of our most estimable ladies, Mrs. Margaret Amos, wife of Daniel W. Amos. She died very suddenly yesterday afternoon of a complication of diseases. Mrs Amos was the mother of ten children, six of whom, with the father, are left to mourn their loss -- Mrs Mertie Syling and Glenn R, of Bessimer, and Ollie, William, Ida and Edward, at home. The deseased was a native of this county, being born on the old Cypher homesetad ( stone house) near Saxton fifth-nine years ago. She was one of a large family of children, ten of whom survive her -- Mrs John Nelson, of Cessna; Mrs Levi Reed, of Minersville; Mrs Ella Woomer, of Johnstown; Geo. W. Cypher, of Saxton; Jacob, of Denver, Colo; Harry, of washington state; James, of Connellsville; Samuel, of Houtzdale; and Charles, of New Mexico. She was a consistent member of the M.E. church for twenty years, in which faith she died with the hope of a blessed resurrection. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother, and these qualifications were fully exemplified by her in the trials she has passed thru in the past few years, in the long sickness and death of a daughter and the injuries of her husband and son. She will be interred in Fockler's cemetary to-morrow at 1 o'clock. OBSERVER.
