John W. Adams Jr., 77, died Tuesday at St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was born in Georgia and was retired as a chemical engineer from Hunt-Wesson Foods. He was an officer of the Community Bible Association and a member of Bloomingdale Alliance Church.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Adams of Bloomingdale; two daughters, Ann Fryar of Arlington, Texas, and Margaret Hentschel of Seattle; three sons, Richard J. Adams of Wheaton, Ill., Donald J. Adams of Irving, Texas, and David H. Adams of Magnolia, Texas; a brother, Frank Adams of Bloomingdale; 10 grandchildren;and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial: 11 a.m. Thursday at Bloomingdale Alliance Church, burial at 12:30 p.m. in Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
