Herman Dolling, a prominent Red Bluff insurance agent for more than three decades, died Thursday evening in a Red Bluff hospital.
A lifetime resident of the city, Mr. Dolling retired in 1973 after 34 years in the insurance business. He had served as a captain in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Wilcox Oaks Gulf Club, Red Bluff Elks Lodge No. 1250 and for many years served as secretary and treasurer of the Salvation Army.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor, and son, Tod, both of Red Bluff, a brother, James, of Manitoba, Canada and two grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held Monday in Red Bluff. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
