Lawrence L. Ludington, 77, died Wednesday evening at the family home, 425 Harvey Road, Ludingwood, after an illness of several weeks.
Mr. Ludington was superintendent of the machine shop at Ball Brothers Corporation for more than 40 years. He was a native of Cambridge City but most of his life he was a resident of Muncie. He was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church and the Masonic Lodge, where he was a 32nd degree Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Coe; five daughters, Mrs. Emily Jolliffe, Mrs. Thelma Markwell, Mrs. Edith Jones, Mrs. Florence Dorton, and Mrs. Grace Grafmiller, all of Muncie; a son, Harley, Muncie; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Will, of Muncie; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Squadra of Pelham, N.Y.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Meeks Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Saturday by Rev. Robert G. Sulanke. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Friday.
