TX Death Certificate #26626 states:
(1) PERSONAL INFO: Mr. N. B. Allen, white, male widower, Retired Laborer who lived in Brady, McCulloch County, Texas, s/o Tom Allen & Belle Cowen; died at age 85y 2m 9d
(2) INFORMANT: Austin State Hospital Records (length of stay-4mos,1day)
(3) REMOVAL: 4-15-60 to be buried in Brady Cemetery in Brady, Texas under the direction of Cook Funeral Home.
(NOTE: Brady Cemetery was searched and no tombstone was found. Thanks to findagrave member-Mel (#47891165) -- he stumbled upon N. B. Allen's marker in Polk Cemetery (abt. 30 miles SE of Brady.)

FAMILY/RESEARCH NOTES:
(1) 1st Marriage - abt. 1893 to Martha (Mattie) Joiner. In the 1900 Mason Co., TX census - they have been married for 7 years. According to 1910 census, Mattie states she is the mother of 8 children-4 living. Known children were Maude Myrtle, Olive , Ottis, Bertha Elizabeth, & William Clayton.

(2) 2nd Marriage -- 1930 McCulloch Co., TX census shows Napoleon B. Allen, 54 year old head of household, married at age 46 to wife - Ethel L. (Dye) Allen, age 39, married at age 31, along with mother in law, Priscilla Dye, 78 year old widow. Family believes that Napoleon & Ethel had 1 child -- a baby girl that is buried in the Dye Cemetery in Hays County, Texas.

(3) PARENTS --- Thomas J. Allen & Frances Bell Cowan (Cowen) were the parents of at least 6 known children -- Napoleon B.(#60851424), James L. (#60955475), Mary (#60956319), Laura (#60957056), Margaret (Maggie) (#51657463), & Thomas J.
