Steve J. Mader, 74, a long time rancher near Keuterville, died Monday, October 15, 1973 at 11 am at Forest, near Winchester, while rounding up cattle there
He had operated a ranch 4.5 miles west of Keuterville since 1930.
The son of Charles & Catherine Mader, he was born July 17, 1899 at Keuterville and went to school there. He married Elnora Enneking at Grangeville June 30, 1930 and they moved to the ranch they now operate.
He was a communicant of Holy Cross Catholic Church at Keuterville.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Charles and Melvin and a daughter, Luella McCulley, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
