Obituary: Charles E. McKinney of Texico died at 10:10 p.m. yesterday at his home. He was 80 years, nine months and 15 days old at time of death.
Mr. McKinney was born February 28, 1875 in Indiana, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. McKinney.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Union Chapel Methodist church. He was married to Margaret Etta Green, who died January 19, 1954.
Surviving are four sons, Ray of Polo, Ill., Clifford I. of Texico, Keith of Michigan City, Ind., and Kenneth of Galveston, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Velma Haley of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Verna Tate of Texico, and Mrs. Zella Dalby of Macon, Ill.; two brothers, Walter of Texico and Tom of Mt. Vernon; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix after 4 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral service will be held at Union Chapel but the date has not been set.
