Hewston married Cenith Padgett on February 26, 1845, in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Cenith (aka Cena, aka Sena) was a sister to Elizabeth, wife of Beniah Dimmitt, buried in Row 12, and she was also a sister to Matilda, who married Hewton's brother, William M. Dimmitt.
Hewston & Sena were the parents of five children, and all of them are linked to their memorials.
After Hewston's death, Sena married Laomi Lively, and she and some her children and their families are buried with Laomi in the Ottumwa Cemetery. Laomi's first wife Matilda and their two sons Elias W. and Joseph H. are also buried in Roundpoint, in Row 23.

A pilgrim on his dying bed
With glory in his soul
Upwards he lifts his longing eyes
Towards the blissful goal
While friends and children weep around
And loth to let him go
He shouts with his expiring breath
And leaves them all below.
