MRS. KATE WENTE 0F NEOGA DIES
Mrs. Kate Wente, 78, of Neoga died at 11:20 am Sunday in Mercy hospital, Champaign, where she had been a patient the past two weeks.
Mrs. Wente was born in Sigel on Oct. 12, 1873, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Zumbahlen. She was married to Henry Wente of Sigel, who died in 1923. Mrs. Wente had been living many years with her daughter, Mrs George Meyers in Neoga.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Gertrude) McMullen and Mrs George (Agnes) Meyers, both of Neoga, and Mrs. Dale (Evelyn) Tanner of Champaign; and seven grandchildren. One son, one daughter, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 9 a. m. Wednesday in St Michael's Church in Sigel The pastor, Rev. George E. Faller officiated. Burial was in St Michael's cemetery in Sigel.
