Gerald Owen Dishaw, age 78, born, May 6, 1932, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 23, 2010.

Gerald will be sadly missed by his caregivers, Karen and Charlie Taylor; close friends, Amanda Johnson, Barbara Paradee, Marybeth Blakeney, Charlie and Faith Lafayette and his many friends at Care Partners.

In Gerald's younger years he worked various jobs but was best known as a cook at Kay's Diner in Alburgh. He was also very involved in the Alburgh Volunteer Fire Department.

Gerald was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed attending a game this summer.

Gerald was an avid Bingo player at the VFW in St. Albans as well as the Franklin County Senior Center enjoying his many friends and activities. He will forever be remembered as Gerry #1

Gerald grew to be an active bird watcher at his homes many feeders and would report all the different bird sightings.

Gerald was a participant of Care Partners in St. Albans for the last 10 years. His team whishes to express a special "Thanks" to the staff for making Gerald's time there both fun and memorable.

At Gerald's request there will be no services.
