J. H. Dunklin, Sr. filed for a Confederate Pension #11619 on September 2, 1905, in Rusk County, Texas. It was approved March 20, 1906. He served as a Private in Company F, 20th Alabama Infantry, CSA, from the Fall of 1862 to the close of the war. War Department record #1109210 states James H. Dunklin was paroled at Salisbury, North Carolina, May 2, 1865.
