Resided in various places in Oregon and Washington as Rev. Allyn, a Methodist minister served. Finally moved to Goldendale where they lived out the remainder of their lives.
Parents were: H. S. and Hester Ann (Hendricks) Goddard.
On May 4, 1852 the Goddard family set forth for the Oregon County. The started out with 9 yokes of oxen, four or five cows, 25 yearly Heifers, a couple of horses and two wagons. They carried some hay for their stock when prairie grass was not available. They only arrived in Vancouver with one wagon and minus some stock on November 9, 1852, after six months of hardship on the trail.
They remained near Fort Vancouver until they moved a little further to Salmon Creek.
She married first Orville D. Sturges who was a neighbor at Salmon Creek. She married second in 1863 to Robert Nerton. After his death she married a third time, to Rev. James H. Allyn.
