Birth: 1844
Saint Paul
Ramsey County
Minnesota, USA
Death: Jan. 25, 1898
Pine City
Pine County
Minnesota, USA

Timothy was the eldest son of Denis and Emily LaDoux Cherrier. Emily was half Chippewa (the affidavits of the half-breed Sioux say she was half blood Indian, but not Sioux, though her first husband was of the Mdewankton tribe of Woodland Sioux.) He was raised in St. Paul, married Elizabeth Pepin (LeDuc) and moved to Pine City in the 1880's. Served in the Civil war. He and Elizabeth had several children (she says in the 1900 census she'd had 27! Mostly still born multiple births according to her granddaughter.) By 1900 only three, two of Timothy's, survived.

Timothy's obit says he was born in St. Paul "one of the first white children born in that place" in 1844. and the 1850 census says that, too.
