| Birth: | Jun. 9, 1929 Hamilton Butler County Ohio, USA | | Death: | Dec. 20, 1996 Kennewick Benton County Washington, USA | Betty Rogers was my mother. Mom was born and raised in Hamilton, OH, the second of four daughters born to Ed and Vina Gray. She grew up with her sisters (Margie, Helen and Jeannie) in a house at South Charles and Third Streets in Hamilton from 1935 to the late 40s. She married Clyde Rogers on Aug 17, 1946 in Hamilton, OH. They had four children: Clyde Shelby, Paula, Pat and Doug. The family moved to southern California in 1955 and lived in several cities before settling into their home in Placentia in 1964. Mom loved music and classic movies and she loved to laugh. She was a voracious reader of murder mysteries, biographies and history. After 23 years in California, she and Dad moved to Kennewick, WA in 1978. During the last years of her life, she loved to shop and she enjoyed the buffets and restaurants in town. Mom passed away in her sleep on Dec 20, 1996. She was cremated and her ashes will be interred in Rose Hill cemetery in the future.
