Birth: May 28, 1828
Death: May 7, 1865

Civil War Union Army Officer. He served during the Civil War as Colonel and commander of the 1st Michigan Volunteer Cavalry, which was part of General George A. Custer's "Wolverine" Brigade. He survived the war only to go home and die of consumption.
