She married Moses in Henry County, Va. on 8 June 1874.

On Jan. 16, at ten o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. M. A. Lacy, better known as "Grandma Lacy"
Her death was not entirely unlooked for, but nevertheless it came as a blow to her relatives and friends.
Death was due to a complication setting in as a result of the flu. She had formerly had the flu and consequently her constitution was not able to withstand this second attack.
Mrs. M. A. Lacy, nee Bettie Ann Elizabeth Bondurant, was born in Henry County, Virginia, on January 9th, 1855, and at the time of her death had attained the age of 64 years and seven days.
She was educated at Oak Level, Henry County, Va.
On June 11, 1874, the deceased was married to M. A. Lacy of Henry County, Va., and for the next 35 years of her life resided with him there.
In March of 1909 the Lacy's moved to North Dakota and have resided there since.
For the past nine years they have made their home in Cottonwood and were surrounded by all their children except Walter, who died in 1910.
The deceased is survived by her husband, and her mother, Ann Bowles, a sister, Ruth Lacy, both residing in Virginia, John P. Bondurant of Spray, N.C., a half sister, Mrs. Susie Stultz, three half brothers, Ike, Dan, and Ben Bowles, all of Bassett, Va.
In addition, she is survived by seven sons as follows: James W., John P., Ansley A., Jesse B., Harry R., Ernest D., and Dewey R.
With the exception of Jesse who lives in Speedwell district, they all live in Cottonwood.
Funeral services were held at the home on Saturday, January 18th.
Interment was made in the cemetery northwest of Fessenden.
All of the children were present at the services except Ansley A., who was ill with pneumonia, and Mrs. James D. Lacy.
Harry Lacy and family arrived from Virginia Friday evening in response of a telegram.
