After the death of her first husband William Thomas Hamilton, Margaret Queenie Cooper married 2) on 1/17/1899 Foster G. Mattingly (ca. 1865 1/19/1952 Oldham Co., KY) at St. Cecilia Church, Louisville, by Fr. A.J. Brady, witnesses R.B. Adams and S.K. Adams.

In addition to her oldest son, William Walter Hamilton, Queenies children with F.G. Mattingly included:

Foster G. Mattingly, Jr., born ca. 1902 (lived FL, later South? Carolina at death; had two daughters)

Allen Spalding Mattingly, born ca. 1905 (owned liquor store and later a restaurant on Bardstown Road in the Highlands, wife Frances)

"Sis" Mattingly (Anna? buried St. Louis, her picture was in paper) who died prior to 1910

Ca. 1903, for approximately 4 months the family "lived down south (from Eddie Hamilton);"

FGM & MQC separated 3/27/1909, divorce granted 7/6/1909 case #55248, witnesses Police Officer Charles J. Tredale, age 48; her son Willie W. Hamilton, age 15, 208 S. 18th St., works Robinson Petet Co; and James Walter "Jim Walt" Hamilton, carpenter, age 42, 1030 S. 5th St. (JWH, brother to Queenie's first husband William Thomas Hamilton and was married to Queenie's sister Mary Ellen "Nellie" Cooper).

Queenie's father was Alexander Bean Cooper, 1/25/1834 2/11/1899; after the death of her mother/ABC's first wife (Margaret Queen Spalding or Mary K. Spalding), ABC married 10/12/1880 at St. Augustine's Church, Lebanon, KY, Ann Lannette "Annette" Hamilton, the oldest child of William W. Hamilton and Ellen Elizabeth McAtee, sister to Queenie's first husband William Thomas Hamilton, making her father's 10 children with Annette not only Queenie's half brothers and sisters, but also her nieces and nephews); Alexander Bean Cooper's parents were Augustine Cooper (?6/4/1805 ?11/22/1870) and Mahala Bean (8/8/1807 ?9/20/1862), married 2/2/1827 at St. Rose Church in Springfield, Washington County, KY; her parents Bennett & Sarah Eleanor Bean.

Queenie married 3) on 12/16/1909 Hartford P. Veatch, 5/2/1858 1/29/1922, in Jeffersonville, Clark County, IN. 1910 lived 1739 Rowan Street; separated by June 1913, divorce granted 11/19/1918, case #107341, witnesses Jim Walt and Nellie Cooper Hamilton; Hartford lived with his daughter from a previous marriage at 1817 W. Market Street following their 1913 separation.

Queenie married 4) on 11/22/1918 in Jeffersonville, Clark County, IN, Noah H. Lykins, 1/21/1894 6/27/1984, her son William Hamilton's friend and best man at his wedding; Noah was a WWI vet, contractor and a ride operator at Fountain Ferry, when he was 24 and she 47 (she gave birth year as 9/27/1878).

MQC owned a small grocery on Dixie Hwy/18th Street and ran boarding house on W. Broadway in Louisville near the railroad tracks and gave singing and music lessons to earn extra income; 1930 lived 2313 Howard St (her son Walter Hamilton and family lived next door at 2311); she is buried in a single grave in Calvary Cem. Noah is buried in Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Additional family information to be found in the book "Imprints 1608-1980 Hamilton and Allied Families" by Sr. Mary Louise Donnelly, 1980, says Alexander Bean Cooper (uncle by marriage to Margaret Cooper Hamilton, 2nd wife and first cousin of William Walter Hamilton), married 10/12/1880 Anne Lannette "Annette" Hamilton (aunt to William Walter Hamilton, making their children WWH's first cousins and aunts and uncles) at St. Augustine Church, Marion County. They had 10 children (Queenie's half siblings AND nieces and nephews by marriage). A marriage record from for Alexander B. Cooper who married Mary K. Spalding 2/3/1863 Washington County, KY - perhaps the same couple, see 1870 Marion County census, St. Mary's Precinct, p 11 - Alex & Mary Cooper.
