Personal Bio-John was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He lived there all his life until joining the Army in 1944. After getting out of the Army in 1953. He moved to Michigan with one of his Army buddies. Where Years later I met him. And we became fast friends. I often make jokes and tell the story of how we be came friends. I worked as a clerk in at the local gas station, not in the the best neighborhood. He would come to the gas station after dark and stay with me until it was closing time. He alwys told me that he did not want someone to come pick me up and carry me off. I always told him that they would bring me back, he responed with, "Well I'm not giving you back!" I invited him home to my house for Easter Dinner, after that dinner he never left my side. John never married nor had any children. But, John was like the grandfather, I longed for. So, when John took ill. I did all I could to take care of him. Until he later died. John was not just a my dearest friend. He was my family. And he is sadly missed by all of us.
