Mrs. Betty J. Nemes of Elyria passed away at Hospice of St Joseph after a brief illness.
Mrs. Nemes was born in Lorain on December 5, 1930 to the late Mike and Elizabeth (Kulic) Turula.
She had been a resident of Lorain until moving to Elyria in the 1970's.
Mrs. Nemes was employed by Lorain Products for 20 years, retiring in the 1980's. she was a member of St.Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria and a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, dining out, baking and traveling to Cape Cod on vacation.
Survivors include sons Thomas J. Nemes of Lorain and Gerald nemes of Elyria; one grandaughter Ashley N. Nemes of Elyria; sisters Ann Buzas of Rocky River and Irene Muska of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve T. Nemes in June 2001.
Friends may call from 4:00 - 9:00 at Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Home on Wednesday.. Services will be Thursday at 9:30 in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Charles Henkle, associate pastor of St Peter's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
