In 1946 moved to Findlay and taught at the former Huber school before becoming principal at the Whittner school. He retired principal at Middle school, Findlay, Ohio. A School Library was named after him. He was the president of the Little League, which he help form in Findlay. he was a member of the Boy Scott Troop Committee, Findlay Chapter 85, Royal Arch Masons, Sylvania Lodge 287, Findlay Kiwanis Club, and a life member of the National Education Association. Erma's parents were born in Ohio. He had five grand children
