Glasco Sun, Nov. 12, 1936, page 1:
Alice Hostetler Jamison was born in Fayette County, Pa., April 7, 1862 and lived there until she was nearly ten years old, when she came with her parents to Kansas in March 1872. They chose as their new home, a tract of land northwest of Glasco and here she grew up.

On February 23, 1898, she married Charles A. Jamison. To this union a son and daughter were born, the daughter died in infancy. Mrs. Jamison lived all her married life in the house to which she went as a bride. Her husband passed away October 25, 1930.

Aunt Alice, as she was known to her friends, was a woman of gentle unassuming nature, with kindly generous impulses, always an influence for good to those who were privileged to know her.
As a neighbor she was held in high esteem, as a friend was true, and no heart pangs were ever caused by her. She had a wealth of charity for everyone and looked upon the bright spots in the lives and character of all.

She leaves besides her many friends her son, Neal H., his wife and one grandchild. One sister, Mrs. George Ott of the Dalles, Oregon; one brother, Jesse Hostetler of Portland, Oregon.

The following is John Wesley's Tribute to His Mother. The son, Neal H. and wife feel it aptly expresses their esteem and love of their mother, Mrs. Alice Jamison:.............
Funeral services were held Nov. 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jamison home with Rev. C.D. Gambriel conducting. Interment was made in the Glasco Cemetery, N.G. Stine, funeral director.
