where years earlier she was their activity
director. She was born in Flagstaff, Ariz.
to Joseph & Mary Rickel. She graduated
from Phoenix Union HIgh School and
Phoenix Junior College.
Early on, she worked for American Airlines
as a stewardess where she met her
beloved husband, Col. Arnold A. Lund,
a Marine Aviator. During their life
together, she became a devoted military
wife and mother who loved entertaining,
gold & crossword puzzles. After the
death of her husband, she and daughter
Pat moved to Escondido where she worked
as a Medical Assistant & Activity
Director in long term care. She is
survived by her daughter, Patricia &
husband Gary Cook, and their two children,
Tyson & wife, Jenni Cook, and Marquesa
and her husband Brandan Whearty; and
sisters, Mary Louise Sims of Tucson,Ariz,
and Margaret Ann & Richard Smith of
Escondido, along with nine nieces & newphews.
