They had 11 children of their own, and were made guardians of the children of Isaac's brother, William, and of the children of Mary Polly Newsoms brother, Edmund Lowe. They raised all these children together. After Isaccs death, Mary Polly Newsom raised six of her grandchildren, after her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Newsom, Weathersby passed away.
