Isabella (nee Roberts) Boutwell was 100% Shawnee Indian. I asked my great-grandmother, Lydia Ann Margaret (nee Boutwell) McQueen how she knew Isabella was 100% Shawnee. Grandma Lydia said: "She was my grandmother!" The Shawnee were moved from Auglaize Township, Paulding County, Ohio to Oklahoma.
I was told Alonzo and Isabella Boutwell were buried in Boutwell Cemetery, Paulding County, Ohio. I was told this by my great-grandmother, Lydia Ann Margaret (nee Boutwell) McQueen, who was their grand-daughter.
