John was the third of four children born to Wesley and Gail Coffee Wisenbaker. He had a beautiful dimple and a devilish smile. He grew up in Perry, Florida. As a very young child he had an eye problem and had to have eye surgery to correct crossed eyes. He was wearing glasses at age two. His vision was corrected and he never wore glasses again.
He married at a young age and lived in Thomasville and Valdosta Georgia. This marriage ended in divorce.
He worked as an electrical assistant for an electrician.
He was an avid Florida State University Seminole fan and also loved to fish.
At the time of death, he was living with a friend Virginia. She came home from work and found him in the floor. He died from a blood clot to the lung.
He was predeceased by his Mother Gail Coffee Wisenbaker and his Father Wesley Wisenbaker, his maternal grandparents Paul and Eva Mae Coffee, paternal Grandfather Louis Byrd Wisenbaker.
John was survived by a brother, two sisters,a nephew, his paternal Grandmother Cuba Carter Wisenbaker, a host of Aunts and Uncles and cousins. John was buried on the 95th birthday of his Grandmother Cuba Wisenbaker at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Madison Florida by the side of his parents.
