Conley, William E. "Pete" age 74 of Friendsville died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He retired from Alcoa with 30 years of service where he was known as "cut-worm." Preceded in death by: Mother, Mary Conley; Sister, Brenda Floyd; Brother, Claude Conley. Survivors include: Wife of 51 years, Marie Conley; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Randall & Martha Conley, John & Cheri Conley; Son, Charles Conley; Grandchildren, Libby Conley French, Crystal Conley Satterfield, John Ross Conley and Jordan Conley; Ethan Miller and his mother Barbi Miller; Great-Grandchild, Sylas Satterfield; Brothers, Billy James Conley and Edward Conley, Douglas Conley of Robinsville, NC; Sisters, Daisy Jennings and Roberta of Robinsville, NC; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2004, in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Ronnie Hepperly and Rev. Johnny Sweet officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Clarks Grove Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2004, West Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville .
