Alvin Luther Clark was born on May 30, 1919, in Carter County, Kentucky. He was the son of Harry Sanford Clark and Mary EffIe Hunt Clark. Luther grew up in Carter County, Kentucky where he married his wife, Bonnie B. McFarland.
They moved to Indiana and made their home there. Luther and Bonnie were the parents of one child, a son named Harold Ray Clark. Harold Ray was killed in a car accident when he was 21 years old.
Luther Clark was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to hunt...but his passion was fishing. He could also play a mean harmonica.
Luther died on June 14, 2006, and is buried in the Woodruff Memorial Gardens in Lagrange, Indiana beside his wife Bonnie, who preceded him in death. The grave of their son is nearby.
