Spanish Royalty. Also known as John of Austria, he was born in Regensburg, Germany and died from a fever in 1578. He was a Spanish General in 1576 was appointed Governor-General of the Netherlands. Although he was the illegitimate son of Charles V, King of Spain and Holy Roman Emperor, his father recognized him in his child. He was entrusted to the care of his half-brother, Philip II.
