Rock Musician, Beatle. Achieved legendary status as the lead guitarist for the groundbreaking and immensely popular group "The Beatles," which he formed together with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and John Lennon. He was dubbed 'the quiet Beatle', which usually belied his integral contributions to the groups' music. He wrote classics such as "Here Comes The Sun" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." After his life with the Beatles, he organized the Concert for Bangladesh, a concert that inspired several benefit concerts in later years, including Live Aid. He also became a film producer, starting his own film company Handmade Films, which produced some masterpieces like "Monty Python's Life of Brian." He also produced some musical masterpieces, of which "All Things Must Pass" and "Cloud Nine" are most well known. In later years, he was less involved in the music industry, preferring to spend time in private life.
