Aaron was in the Civil War. He was in the 82nd Regiment, Indiana
Volunteers. I have a copy of his military records.

DIED AT LAKE CITY

A.J. Day of Indiana, Died While on a visit to his son of old age.

A.J. Day Father of Jack Day of Lake city ,died at that place last night of old age.He was a native of Indiana and had come to Lake city to visit his son,when he was taken ILL and died. He had been in this country for about three weeks. His son is in the Employ of the Lake City Mercantile Company.Undertaker Gregg was called to Lake City and will emalm the body,and ship it to his home in Indiana for internment.
