NORTH SPRINGFIELD - Margaret L. (Downs) McIntyre, 63, died Oct. 11, 2010, at her home.
She was born April 20, 1947, in North Conway, N.H., the daughter of Raymond and Beatrice (Libby) Downs. She graduated from Deering High School, Portland, Maine, in 1966 and received a B.A. in theology from Berkshire Christian College in Lenox, Mass., in 1970.
On June 26, 1971, she married the Rev. Floyd L. McIntyre. Together, they served pastorates of Advent Christian Churches in Crouseville, Maine, Wallingford, Conn., DeKalb, Ill., and North Springfield.
Mrs. McIntyre was a member of Advent Christian Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and crafts.
Survivors include her husband of North Springfield; a daughter, Bethany Seeley of Rhode Island, and a son, Aaron McIntyre of New Hampshire; two sisters, Eleanor Peterson and Nancy Legere, and a brother, Willis Downs, all of Maine.
She was predeceased by two infant children, Scott and Martha.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at the Davis Memorial Chapel, Springfield.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 18, at Advent Christian Church in North Springfield with the Rev. Arthur Stone, pastor of Advent Christian Church in Rochester, N.H., officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in North Springfield.
