Osborn's Funeral Friday Afternoon
Final services for Benton Ashley Osborn, 69, will be held at Fickert's Chapel at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, followed by interment in Oak Hill cemetery. The Rev. Alfred Rohm will conduct the services.
Osborn was born April 15, 1886 in Newville, Glenn County*, and was the youngest of 13 children. A Navy Veteran of World War I, and member of veteran's organizations and other civic groups, he served as a Tehama County supervisor from 1940 to 1952, and was also a member of the Tehama County Grand Jury. He married Inga Stenberg in 1920, and later bought the old Stice Ranch in the Orchard Park district, which he operated for the past 26 years. He recently retired from ranching and purchased a home in Antelope valley.
He is survived by his widow, Inga of Red Bluff; a daughter Lois Jacobs of Pescadero; two sons Norman of Sacramento and Robert of Red Bluff; and five grandchildren, Nancy, Allen and Jerry Jacobs, and Douglas and Debra Osborn.- Transcribed by E.
