Mrs. Jennie Oakes Claimed By Death
Mrs. Jennie Shelton Oakes of Los Molinos, member of a pioneer Tehama county family, died early today at a Red Bluff hospital, at the age of 78.
Mrs. Oakes was born October 27, 1873 in the Newville district, in western Glenn* county and was one of a large family of brothers and sisters. They lived for many years on a ranch near Flournoy in this county. The only surviving members are two brothers, Earl D. and Ben Osborne, both of Red Bluff. There are a number of nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fickert's chapel and burial will be made at Oak Hill. - Transcribed by E.
