S. H. Osborn Dies At Ranch Home Of Heart Illness
Sullivan Holloway Osborn, 73, retired rancher, died suddenly at his ranch Saturday afternoon.
Osborn had been in good health, but apparently suffered a heart attack while pumping up a tire on his trailer. The time of his death is not certain as he had been outside for several hours before his body was discovered by his wife Clara.
Widely known in this area as a stockman, Osborn was born July 27, 1871 in Newville, Glenn county*, but moved to this vicinity shortly thereafter and spent the rest of his life here.
A brother of Ben A. Osborn, Tehama county supervisor, he is survived by his wife Clara, three other brothers, Alfred H. Osborn, Corning, J. M. Osborn, Berkeley, and Earl D. Osborn, Red Bluff, and one sister, Mrs. Jennie Oakes, Los Molinos.
Funeral services will be conducted in Fickert's chapel Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. by Vesper Lodge, F. & A. M., of which Osborn has been a member for many years.
Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery. - Transcribed by E.
